Roxburgh Park Community Hub:

 

EAL

EAL for Adults
This FREE English class is run in conjunction with Homestead Community and Learning Centre. These classes are designed for people seeking to build confidence in English. The class runs every Friday for the school term in the Hub. 11.30-1.30pm. The course suits beginners to intermediate students.

 

 

Playgroup
Playgroup is FREE for all families with children under the age of 5 years, living in the community it runs during the school term. 

Time: 9:00am – 11:00am Tuesday & Friday

 

BREAKFAST

Breakfast Club 

Breakfast Club is available for FREE to students and parents at Roxburgh Park Primary School. A nutritious breakfast is provided for the students and parents form Monday to Friday, 8:20am - 8:50am in the Gym

 

SEWING

Sewing Classes
Sewing Classes in the Community Hub run throughout the school term for parents, this course suits beginners to intermediate sewers. Numbers are limited, so please call and speak to Gwen on 9303 9335 if you would like to attend.

The Department has developed a new Schools' Privacy Policy and related documents for all Victorian government schools. The new Schools’ Privacy Policy will be implemented over term one of 2018 and will replace any existing privacy policies used by schools.

Roxburgh Park Primary has zero tolerance for child abuse.

Roxburgh Park Primary is committed to providing a child safe environment where children and young people are safe and feel safe, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives. Particular attention will be paid to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds, as well as the safety of children with a disability.

Every person involved in Roxburgh Park Primary has a responsibility to understand the important and specific role he/she plays individually and collectively to ensure that the wellbeing and safety of all children and young people is at the forefront of all they do and every decision they make.

In its planning, decision-making and operations Roxburgh Park Primary will

1. Take a preventative, proactive and participatory approach to child safety;

2. Value and empower children to participate in decisions which affect their lives;

3. Foster a culture of openness that supports all persons to safely disclose risks of harm to children

4. Respect diversity in cultures and child rearing practices while keeping child safety paramount;

5. Provide written guidance on appropriate conduct and behaviour towards children;

6. Engage only the most suitable people to work with children and have high quality staff and volunteer supervision and professional development;

7. Ensure children know who to talk with if they are worried or are feeling unsafe, and that they are comfortable and encouraged to raise such issues;
