2026 Foundation (Prep) enrolments
The Department of Education has released the statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline for the 2026 school year.
This timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Roxburgh Park Primary School.
To start primary school in 2026, your child will need to turn 5 years old by 30th April 2026.
If your child is starting Foundation (Prep) in 2026, you will be able to apply to enrol your child at Roxburgh Park Primary School from the start of Term 2, Tuesday 22nd April 2025.
Steps to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) for the 2026 school year.
What you need to do:
- Book a school tour by calling Roxburgh Park Primary School on 9303 9335 or to learn more about our school and the enrolment application process.
- Download the Foundation (Prep) Enrolment Information Pack for Parents and Carers from Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) (available by Tuesday 22nd April 2025). This pack includes an application form, which you can also request from our school.
- Submit an enrolment application for Foundation (Prep) by Friday 25th July 2025.
- You will be notified of the outcome of your application between Monday 28th July and Friday 8th August 2025. If you receive an enrolment offer, you should contact our school to accept the offer by Friday 22nd August 2025.
- Take part in one of our Parent Information sessions in Term 2 (Details will be sent out shortly).
- Ensure that your child participates in our Prep transition program in Term 4, 2025. (Details will be sent out later in the year)
Enrolment
Enrolment applications submitted after 25th July 2025 will be processed by our school as they are received, in accordance with the department’s Placement Policy.
How to enrol your child at Roxburgh Park Primary School.
Choosing a school for your child is an important decision. Our team at Roxburgh Park Primary School are here to help and guide you through the process.
Once you’ve confirmed you live in our designated school area the next step is to make sure you have the required documents prepared:
- A completed and signed enrolment form
- Proof of residential address – our school requires proof of your address to make sure you are within our school zone.
- A copy of your child’s birth certificate, passport, or ImmiCard
- If relevant, a copy of your child’s visa
- A copy of your child’s Immunisation History Statement – you can find this through your Medicare online account.
- If relevant, a Medical Management Plan – Action Plans are provided by your doctor for asthma, allergies, anaphylaxis, diabetes, or any other medical condition that we should be aware of
Once you have your documentation together, please come by the office and proceed with your child’s enrolment.
Our School Zone
All state primary schools in Roxburgh Park are zoned. To check if you are zoned to our school, please go to Find My School.
Students living within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined based on your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.
